Di Henning has worked with growth coaching international as a Coach and Senior Consultant since 2006, bringing to her work a rich and extensive experience as an educational leader in the Tasmanian Education Department.
Di has worked with school and system leaders, leadership teams and teachers in State, Catholic and Independent schools from Tasmania, Victoria, ACT, WA & QLD.
As a coach, Di works with principals and school and system leaders focusing on leadership growth and effectiveness and as a facilitator leads workshops ranging from large system-sponsored workshops to smaller in-school sessions, focusing on coaching, collegial conversation, leadership and creating a coaching culture. Di presents at conferences and has written about coaching for the ACEL journal, Australian Educational Leader.
Underpinning her work is a question: “How do we create the mindset of learner in adults and switch them on to the curiosity of learning about themselves and their work as teachers and leaders?”
In 2013, Di was awarded an ACEL Fellowship (Tasmania) for her role as a ‘dynamic educator and coach who is vastly experienced and who recognises the importance of teacher leadership and meaningful learning conversations to improve practice and student outcomes’.
